Terms of Service & Refund Policy

1. All-Inclusive Pricing

Your registration includes tuition, accommodations (or commuter pass), and meals for the duration of the program at 1440 Multiversity. Check-in is Sunday, March 29th; check-out is Friday, April 3rd.

What's Included

• Program tuition for The Somatic Trauma Healing Immersion led by The Embody Lab
• Lodging at 1440 Multiversity for the full program duration (private room, shared room, or pod—depending on your selected package) OR commuter pass
• Daily meals provided by 1440 Multiversity's Kitchen Table (lodging guests only—commuter pass holders are not eligible for meals)
• Access to 1440 Multiversity grounds and facilities
• Applicable taxes and fees

Commuter Pass: Commuter passes are subject to additional policies and restrictions as determined by 1440 Multiversity. Please contact 1440 directly for full commuter pass terms.

Check-In Requirement: All guests (including commuter pass holders) are required to provide a valid credit card at check-in. This card will be kept on file for incidentals and any additional charges you may incur during your stay.

What's Not Included

• Airfare and transportation to/from 1440 Multiversity
• Travel insurance (strongly recommended—see Section 5)
• Personal expenses and incidentals
• Any services not explicitly listed above

2. Payment Terms

We offer several payment options to make registration accessible:

• Pay in Full: Complete payment at time of registration.
• 3-Payment Plan: Split your registration into three equal monthly payments (December/January/February or January/February/March, depending on registration date). This option closes in January 2025.
• Klarna or Afterpay: Third-party financing options available at checkout.

Payment Plan Default: If you default on any scheduled payment under our 3-payment plan or a third-party financing arrangement (Klarna, Afterpay), your registration will be forfeited and any amounts previously paid will not be refunded. The Embody Lab is not responsible for third-party payment plan terms, eligibility, fees, interest, account approvals, or any actions taken by these platforms.

3. No Refund Policy

Your satisfaction with our programs is important to us. Due to the extensive time, effort, preparation, and care that goes into creating and providing our programs, products, subscriptions, memberships, services, and program materials, we have a no refund policy.

Unless otherwise provided by law, you acknowledge that we do not offer refunds for any portion of your payment, and no refunds will be provided to you at any time. By purchasing, you understand and agree that all sales are final.

4. Accommodations & Venue

Accommodations are provided by 1440 Multiversity, our venue partner. Please note:

• Room Assignments: All room assignments are managed solely by 1440 Multiversity, not The Embody Lab.
• Shared Accommodations: If you select a shared room or pod option, you may be assigned a roommate. The Embody Lab does not conduct background checks or security screenings of participants. Roommate compatibility is not guaranteed.
• Modification Requests: Any requests to change room assignments are subject to 1440 Multiversity's availability and discretion. Nothing is guaranteed unless you have purchased a private room.
• Venue Policies: By attending, you agree to abide by all 1440 Multiversity rules, policies, and guidelines. The Embody Lab is not liable for any facility issues, property conditions, or actions/omissions by venue staff.
• Accommodation Inquiries: The Embody Lab cannot assist with accommodation inquiries. Please contact 1440 Multiversity directly at [email protected] for all lodging-related matters.

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Insurance is not included in your registration. We encourage you to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, and travel delays.

To inquire about insurance options, please email [email protected] or arrange coverage through your own provider.

6. Cancellation by The Embody Lab / Force Majeure

In the unlikely event that The Embody Lab must cancel the program due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control—including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, venue closures, instructor emergencies, acts of terrorism, or other force majeure events—the following applies:

• You will receive a full credit toward a rescheduled event or any future Embody Lab program of equal or lesser value.
• Credits are valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation and are non-transferable.
• If The Embody Lab recovers any deposits or fees from the venue, we will make reasonable efforts to pass through recoverable amounts; however, this is not guaranteed.
• Cash refunds are not available for company-initiated cancellations due to force majeure.

The Embody Lab assumes no liability for any incidental expenses you may incur, including but not limited to airfare, transportation, or other travel costs.

7. Program Disclaimer

This immersion is for educational and self-healing exploration purposes only. It does not constitute medical or psychological treatment. Always seek the advice of a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or psychological condition before undertaking any program or regimen.

8. Group Agreements

By registering, you agree to the following community guidelines:

• We agree to be present to our best degree possible and for that to be good enough for today.
• We agree not to hold ourselves to the standard of perfectionism—we will simply start with what we can right now.
• We agree to respect the personal space required by others—we do not share our trauma stories outside of invitation; we share experience, strength, and hope.
• We agree to personal responsibility—accountable for the energy we bring to the group and for our reactions. There is no space here for blaming others for our problems, our mood, or our reactions. There is no space for saving others.
• We agree to take direction from those who are here to help guide us and respect those who are healing beside us.
• We agree collectively to have faith in our common and unique healing processes and support others in moving forward in life.
• We agree this will be a safe space of openness where cultural, religious, historical, generational, societal, and personal differences are respected without judgment, criticism, or harm.
• We agree to take what serves us and leave what does not.
• We agree to put our best foot forward with an open mind and an open heart for what is to come.

9. Grievance & Support Process

There will be designated points of contact for participants who may require support during this shared healing process, find themselves in conflict with another participant, feel uncomfortable with a presenter, or have a general complaint about the program or venue. To reduce stress, please book a time to speak directly with this person, as they will be the only team member authorized to find a solution. Contact information will be provided when the program begins.

10. Acknowledgment & Agreement

By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and Refund Policy in their entirety. You understand that all sales are final, no refunds will be issued, and you accept all terms as stated herein.

Please note: This immersion is for educational and self-healing exploration purposes. Always seek the advice of a physician, psychiatrist or psychologist, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or psychological condition or treatment before undertaking a regimen.

Rooms / commuter fees must be reserved for the full duration of the program, checking in Sunday, March 29th and checking out Friday, April 3rd. You must have lodgings at 1440 Multiversity OR a commuter pass to attend the program.

PLEASE NOTE: The LODGING or COMMUTER FEE does not cover tuition led by The Embody Lab. Please purchase your tuition separately here.

COMMUTER FEE: Please note that there is a $175/day fee for those who opt out of booking 1440’S on-site accommodations. This fee includes daily lunches from the Kitchen Table, plus access to the grounds and facilities.

PLEASE NOTE: The Embody Lab cannot assist with your accommodation Inquiries. Please contact 1440 Multiversity directly for all matters relating to accommodations. The accommodation rates shown through the below links cover your entire stay from Sunday, March 29th through Friday, April 3rd, as well as nutritious meals each day.
